GCCISD Junior School Athletic Academic Belt 

 

The GCCISD Athletic Academic Belt is presented to a high school and junior school for their outstanding dedication to the academic achievements of our student athletes. At the end of each report card, our coaches are responsible for compiling the passing rates for every athlete in their designated program, and submitting them to the Athletic Office. They are then ranked by the three high schools, and the six junior highs.

BJS Belt for the win

 

The first nine-week grading period proved to be a perfect one for the athletes of Baytown Junior as they posted a 100% passing percentage for all student athletes. This is an incredible feat led by Campus Coordinators Michael Contreras and Christina Sowell. The other junior high's were all in a close race with EF Green (98%), Cedar Bayou (96%), Gentry (96%), Highlands (94%), and Horace Mann (81%) all holding student athletes accountable with high marks. Congratulations to Baytown Junior!
