Goose Creek CISD schools were back in full swing on Monday, January 8, fostering excitement for learning in 2024. Staff at GCCISD were excited to be back in action and the students (and parents) were equally eager to have school resume after winter break.

In Ms. Shuttlesworth's room at De Zavala Elementary, students worked in their small groups to identify the plot elements in fictional literature. The atmosphere is filled with curiosity and collaboration as these young minds work alongside their teacher to unravel the intricacies of storytelling. Ms. Shuttlesworth's dedication is evident as she guides her students through the fascinating world of plot development, ensuring that each child is not only learning but also having fun in the process.

The room was alive with animated discussions and creative roleplay as these young scholars strive to unravel the complexities of characters and their relationships within a narrative. Mrs. Roberts, with her passion for teaching, skillfully nurtures an environment where critical thinking and creativity flourish, allowing her students to grasp these essential literary concepts with eagerness and confidence.
