The purpose of HAABE is to demonstrate unity and cohesiveness in the promotion of Bilingual Education. These teachers have proven effective in serving and supporting the education of linguistically and culturally diverse students, while promoting the content, procedures, and philosophy of bilingual-multicultural education in the Houston Area. The selected district teachers of the year will advance to the citywide competition and will be honored at the annual HAABE Teacher of the Year Banquet on April 27, 2024. As exemplary educators for our Emergent Bilingual students, we are thrilled that they will be representing GCCISD at the HAABE regionwide competition.
