Michelle Carr recently visited the Sterling High School Health Science Academy and Lee High School STEM Academy. Her mission? To share her remarkable journey of living with a prosthetic arm crafted by a 3D printer and to enlighten students about the medical intricacies of prosthetics.

Ms. Carr's story is one of triumph over adversity. Despite facing challenges that could have easily deterred her spirit, she embraced technology and medical advancements to enhance her quality of life. As she stood before the high school students, she exuded an aura of confidence and determination, captivating her audience from the moment she began to speak.

 

Her prosthetic arm, a marvel of modern engineering, serves not only as a functional limb but also as a symbol of empowerment. Crafted with precision by a 3D printer, it showcases the intersection of technology and healthcare in improving the lives of individuals with disabilities.
