The Goose Creek Memorial Theatre Company proudly represented their school at the Texas Thespian Festival 2024, held in Grapevine, TX. The talented students showcased their exceptional skills, earned accolades, qualified for national recognition, and performed their acclaimed production of Julius Caesar. Head Director Gina Martin and Assistant Director Peyton Wood lead the company.

Memorial Theatre Company was one of only nine theatre companies in the state selected to perform in the exclusive Marathon Play competition. Their compelling production of Julius Caesar captivated audiences and demonstrated the company’s artistry and professionalism.
Several students earned individual recognition for their performances. Rubén Fernández and Austin Baker were recognized as Superior Performers, while Jada Freeman received the title of Excellent Performer.
Multiple students also advanced to nationals in various categories. Payden Hinz and Jada Freeman qualified for Solo Musical, Rubén Fernández and Eto Rile for Duet Acting, Autumn Zaruba for Hair and Makeup Design, Michael J. McDonough for Costume Design, and Jasper Moreno for Sound Design.
Additional honors included Trinity Bennett being named an Improv All-Star, E. Anderson receiving recognition as part of the Honor Crew, and the company winning the All-Star Troupe Display award.
Their achievements at the Texas Thespian Festival highlight the strength and vibrancy of the arts within the school and the dedication of its students and educators. These students will represent Memorial Theatre Company at the International Thespian Festival 2025, which will take place June 22–27, 2025, at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
