• Important Graduation Information

    We are excited about our upcoming high school graduations for Lee, Sterling, and Goose Creek Memorial. Please see the following information regarding your child’s graduation:

     

    • Graduation is at the Fertitta Center. The address, time, and general information can be found here: https://www.gccisd.net/page/graduation.
    • Due to construction, there is one entrance into the Fertitta Center. Please use the Holman Street entrance. • Rather than 60 minutes in advance of the start time, doors will now open 90 minutes before the start of graduation. Seats are on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Parking is $10. You can pay in advance, click here: https://bit.ly/35bgT6z
    • Graduation tickets are required for entry. Please be sure you have a graduation ticket upon arrival.
    • Flowers will be available for purchase in the Fertitta Center until supplies run out.
    • The graduation programs will be digital and can be accessed on your personal device. QR codes for the graduation programs will be sent out in advance and displayed during graduation.
    • The Fertitta Center has a clear bag policy. Please reference all prohibited items here: https://www.gccisd.net/page/graduation.

    Graduation Ceremonies at Lee College Sports Arena

    The GCCISD graduation ceremony for IMPACT Early College High Schooll will be held at 4:30 p.m. and Stuart Career Tech High Schoo at 7:30 p.m. on  May 24, 2022 in the Lee College Sports Arena located at 200 Lee Drive in Baytown, Texas.

     

    Loved ones who are unable to attend the ceremony will be able to watch the graduation ceremony live via the Web.

     

    Goose Creek CISD will have live video footage of the graduation ceremony available at www.gccisd.net.

    In late April, graduating seniors will receive a packet of information to take home regarding graduation responsibilities, procedures and due dates.

     

    The packet will include:

    • Letter from principal
    • Time for graduating students to arrive at Lee College
    • Graduation picture information
    • Map of available parking lots

    DON'TS:

    The following items should NOT be brought to the ceremony:

    • Air Horns
    • Artificial Noise Makers
    • Balloons
    • Glass Vases
    • Signs
    • Banners
    • Outside food or beverages, other than bottled water
    • Tripods

    NOTE: Any wrapped gifts may be opened and checked by security personnel at the entry doors.

     

    DO'S:

    • Family members may arrive one hour before the ceremony.
    • Saved seats must be released 20 minutes prior to the beginning of the ceremony.
    • Bottled water is allowed.
    • Cameras are allowed.

    Graduation Ceremonies at Fertitta Center

    Graduation ceremonies for Goose Creek Memorial High School, Robert E . Lee High School and Ross S . Sterling High School and will be held on May 27, 2022 at the Fertitta Center, which is located on the University of Houston campus.

     

    This will be a ticketed event. Tickets will be free of charge . Each graduating senior will be provided with 10 tickets to distribute.

     

    Each school will have its own graduation ceremony at a designated time on May 27, 2022. All graduating students will meet in advance on campus at a predetermined time and be transported by bus to the Fertitta Center.

     

    Loved ones who are unable to attend the ceremonies will be able to watch the graduation ceremonies live via the web. Goose Creek CISD will have live video footage of the graduation ceremonies available at www.gccisd.net.

    WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT THE DAY OF GRADUATION?

    Students

    • All graduating students will be riding GCCISD buses from their home campus to the Fertitta Center.
    • Students must arrive on campus at a designated time per the principal .
    • Students should arrive on campus appropriately dressed for the ceremony. Caps and gowns will be put on at the Fertitta Center .
    • Cell phones are prohibited during the ceremony.

    Family Members:

    • Food, drinks, gifts, balloons, noise makers, banners, and posters should be left at home .
    • Family members may begin arriving one hour prior to the ceremony .
    • There is a clear bag policy . Items such as backpacks, purses and diaper bags are NOT permitted . Information regarding the clear bag policy can be found here.
    • There will be a $10 fee to park your vehicle.Credit card and cash will be accepted on site.

    The following items are NOT allowed in Fertitta Center:

    • For the safety of our Fertitta Center guests, the following are NOT allowed:
    • Alcohol
    • Animals - except service animals (dogs) trained to work or perform task for guest with disabilities.Therapy, comfort, companion or emotional support animals are not permitted.
    • Artificial noisemakers
    • Backpacks or bags of any kind
    • Balloons
    • Cameras with lenses larger than 8 inches
    • Coolers/Bottles/Cans and Thermoses
    • Fireworks, open flames or flammables
    • Firearms and weapons of any kind
    • Illegal Drugs
    • Laser Pointers
    • Metal or glass containers of any kind
    • Outside food and beverage
    • Personal transport devices (skateboards/hover boards/segways)
    • Video cameras and the use of video capable devices
      Any attempt to bring prohibited items into the Fertitta Center will be considered a violation of the Code of Conduct and may result in the guest being ejected, arrested or tickets being revoked . All persons and/or their belongings are subject to search . Violators of the rules of any State or City laws will
      be refused admission, asked to leave or ejected from Arena property .

     

    Clear Bag Policy:

    Fertitta Center enforces a clear bag policy to ensure safety for guests . Items such as backpacks, purses and diaper bags are not permitted, and guests are strongly encouraged to not bring any bags to the facility .

    The following items will be allowed inside Fertitta Center events:

    • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches
    • 1-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc or similar)
    • A small clutch purse no larger than 4 .5 inches by 6 .5 inches, with or without a handle or strap (These small clutches remain subject to search) Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the doors by arena personnel.
    • Please know that wrapped gifts may be opened and checked by security personnel at the entry doors.
    • Signs and banners are discouraged because they block the vision of others .
