Goose Creek CISD Administrative Guideline 6.11 states, "Since the 1986-87 school year, in-district transfer requests will be approved only if it is determined that extreme circumstances warrant an exception."
Parents seeking an in-district transfer for their child(ren) must complete the application in the designated window April 1, 2024 - April 26, 2024.
District Criteria for a transfer:
To be eligible for a transfer a student must have the following:
- a 96% attendance rate
- fewer than 5 tardies in a semester
- a written rationale for the transfer request
- no In-school suspensions or Out of school suspensions
- no felony/criminal conviction
- parents must provide transportation to and from school
