Exceeded Expectations

What a year it has been!

I can’t believe the 2022-2023 school year has come and gone. There were so many highlights this school year. From academic to athletic, our students truly exceeded our expectations and excelled to the highest of heights. What better way to end the school year then with a grand celebration for our graduates. For five nights straight, we honored the tradition of hosting commencement in Stallworth Stadium; something that was last done during the 2011-2012 school year. Over 1,500 young people entered the Stallworth Stadium as students and exited as graduates and Giant alumni. Seeing the packed stands, filled with close family and friends, many of which graduated in Stallworth, made me beam with pride. Our community came together to support our students, and, in the end, that is what it is all about.

Though the school year has ended, that doesn’t mean learning has to! Our GCCISD Athletic department, City of Baytown, Wetlands Center and Lee College are offering a myriad of exciting, enjoyable, and engaging summer opportunities for students of all ages. From soccer camp to science camp and more; there is something for everyone! Please visit our GCCISD website for more information.

As I close, I want to give a special thanks to our community stakeholders. We appreciate your continuous support year after year and we are so thankful that we have such dedicated individuals as a part of our Giant family.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer and we look forward to welcoming both new and returning students back to “The Goose” on August 14th.

Best Regards,
