Building Success Together

Dear Goose Creek CISD Families,

As we wrap up April and approach the home stretch for another school year, I want to take a moment to commend each and every one of you for demonstrating our community's resilience and strength.

While facing a budget deficit is never easy, I am pleased to inform you that we are on the road to a balanced budget. Your support and understanding have been instrumental in this journey, and I am confident that together we will overcome this challenge. You can find more specific details on our webpage:

I am also pleased to announce some progress in the restructuring of our police department, following the resignation of our former chief. Please help me welcome Kirk Bonsal as our interim Chief of Police. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community, and I am confident that under Kirk Bonsal's leadership, our police department will continue to serve with integrity and professionalism. If you have an opportunity to shake an officer’s hand or pat them on the back, please do so!

As we approach Teacher Appreciation Week from May 6th to May 10th, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of our dedicated teachers. Your dedication to our students' success is evident and truly commendable, and I am grateful for everything you do to generate self-worth, confidence, and a brighter future for every student.

Lastly, I am thrilled to announce the upcoming high school graduations. The ceremonies will begin on May 21st with Stuart Career Technical High School and Impact Early College High School at Lee College, followed by Goose Creek Memorial, Sterling, and Lee High Schools at Stallworth Stadium. This is a significant milestone for our students, and I encourage you to join us in celebrating their achievements.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to provide the very best education possible for our students. We will continue to develop the whole child as we accept our charge to Grow Giants! Together, our collective voice will resonate to our community and beyond.
